The role of the Ombuds
The office of Student Ombuds was established under the Cyprus University of Technology (Student Matters and Study Subjects) Regulations of 2015, and in particular article 30, “Student Rights”. The Ombuds mediates between students and the academic or administrative services of the University, upholds legality within the framework of academic freedom, and deals with abuse of power and any form of harassment against students.
The Ombuds supports all students — including Erasmus students during their mobility at CUT — with University procedures, academic disagreements, unequal treatment or harassment. Findings and an annual activity report are published on the University website, subject to personal-data protection law.

How to file a request
The University's complaint form is in Greek — here is the procedure in English, with an English form you can download.
Get in touch
Contact the Ombuds in person or by phone. The office is on the ground floor of the Student Services Building, Athens Street, open every Wednesday 09:00–12:30.
Complete the request form
Download the application form and fill in your details and the matter — a title and a detailed description, with any supporting documents.
Submit it by email
Sign and date the form and send it to sinigoros.foititi@cut.ac.cy. Your request is reviewed and you are contacted about the next steps.
Independent and impartial. The Ombuds acts within academic freedom and personal-data protection law, separately from your department and the Erasmus Office — so your request is reviewed on its own merits, in confidence.
