Selection Committee & Results

Learn exactly how the central Erasmus Committee evaluates applications, ranks candidates, and allocates mobility seats.

Seat Allocation & Ratification

Because Erasmus+ grants are highly sought after, the central Erasmus Committee evaluates all applications using a fair, objective point system. Based on these scores, we determine the distribution of available seats per call, per department, and per individual student.

Securing a high rank gives you a preliminary seat. However, to make it official, you must meet all academic criteria. Once your Departmental Coordinator officially approves your course equivalency form (your Learning Agreement), the Committee will ratify your mobility and publish the final results.

The Evaluation Point System

Year of Study

Seniority counts! 3rd and 4th-year students get the highest priority in the ranking system, followed by 2nd-year students.

Academic Grades

Your hard work pays off. Your overall Grade Point Average (GPA) carries significant weight (calculated as your GPA multiplied by 2).

Language Skills

While B2 is usually the minimum requirement, you earn extra points if you have a certified high proficiency (C1 or C2) in the host country’s language.

First-Timers

To give everyone a fair chance to experience mobility, students who have never been on an Erasmus exchange before get priority over those who have already participated.

The “Use It Or Lose It” Rule

Because seats are highly limited, we cannot hold them open indefinitely. If you are granted a preliminary seat but fail to secure your course equivalencies (Learning Agreement) within exactly 2 months, your approval will be canceled. Your seat will then be immediately given to the next student on the waiting list.
