What is the Erasmus Programme?

The Erasmus Programme, part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ initiative, is a flagship mobility program that supports education, training, youth, and sport. It aims to enhance skills, employability, and intercultural understanding through international collaboration and mobility. Erasmus+ provides opportunities for students, staff, and institutions to participate in a variety of activities, including study abroad, internships, and training experiences across Europe and beyond.

Erasmus+ contributes to the modernization of education and training systems, fostering innovation, inclusion, and lifelong learning. It helps participants build personal and professional skills, broaden their horizons, and develop a global network.

Institutions holding the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for the 2021-2027 period can participate in Key Action 1 Mobility Projects, offering students, recent graduates, and staff the opportunity to undertake mobility periods in partner countries or beyond. These projects aim to enhance learning, professional development, and intercultural understanding.
