Financial support to make your international mobility a reality. Learn about monthly allowances, travel support, and extra top-ups.
The Erasmus+ grant is designed to assist with the additional costs of studying or interning abroad. While it is not intended to cover 100% of your expenses, it provides a substantial monthly allowance and travel contribution based on your destination.
1. Base Monthly Allowances (Studies)
The base amount you receive each month depends on the cost of living in your host country. Destinations are divided into three main categories:
2. Additional Monthly Top-Ups
€150 Extra for Internships
If you are going abroad for a Traineeship/Internship rather than studies, you automatically receive an additional €150 per month on top of your base category grant.
€250 Extra for Inclusion Support
We are committed to making Erasmus+ accessible to everyone. Students facing socioeconomic barriers or with specific physical, mental, or health-related conditions are eligible for a top-up of €250 per month.
3. Travel Support
You will also receive a one-time travel contribution to cover your round-trip journey. The amount is strictly based on the geographic distance between Limassol and your host city, using the official European Commission Distance Calculator.

* Green Travel is a higher funding bracket awarded to students who choose lower-emissions transport (such as trains or buses) for the majority of their journey.
4. When Do I Get Paid?
We want you to have funds when you need them most. Once you arrive at your destination and submit your signed Arrival Form and boarding passes, the CUT Erasmus Office will transfer 90% of your total grant directly to your bank account.
The remaining 10% is transferred within 30 days after you successfully complete your mobility and submit your final Departure Form and required surveys.
